If we are truly going to change the coach them someone like Anderson is not the way to go. Why replace one coach reliant on his own ideas that he quite clearly refuses to change and replace him with another?

Remember "flat line attack" and the four players binned or sent off in a 74-4 flogging? Anderson may have been liked but his coaching was deadset killing the Sharks and almost did the same to Melbourne. If you whinge about Wagon and Petersen playing I'd love to hear what you have to say about Jarrad Anderson....

Daley, Matterson or Cartwright - fresh coaches, fresh ideas and a winning attitude to boot. They've all won premierships as players (recently) and two have won premierships as coaches....

You still haven't answered my question.
BTW, most of the thread you quoted was praising Smith.

Your attitude. It is SHOCKING. The easiest thing in the world to be is A KNOCKER.

Sometimes the harder one works on a puzzle the further one gets from the solution. Then another person with a fresh perspective of the puzzle has a look at it, and seemingly finds the solution within seconds. I don't know why it is, but I know it to be true.

Smithy has been looking at the puzzle of Parra for a number of years now and almost solved it, but since then has fallen away. I've no doubt that Brian is working very hard too bring us back to the top, but it is becoming increasingly clear that it is just not working anymore.

I believe we need someone with a fresh perspective to come in from outside the club. Some of the assistant coaches mentioned from other clubs would have been preparing game plans for when their teams play us, and would be ideal as they would know our strengths and weaknesses. Perhaps better than our own coaches do.

Maybe Brian can figure this thing out before the end of the year, and if so I'll cheerfully take this message back and eat humble pie and all those things. (get out of jail free as HJ would say  )

To you knockers.....Minds are like parachutes. They work best when open. Just make sure the strings are still attached.
