So the nrl should add a team that loses 3 million a year and has under 5k crowds as long as we find someone who will do that ?

sorry pass
Which team are you referring to? A real half glass empty guy aren’t you? Youve already determined a side will fail before you read their business case? That’s a special talent and achieves new levels of pessimism.

See, that's another sport. Perth glory play soccer. You getting a tad confused.
We're taking about NRL. Maybe take a nap.
These are long established sports in Perth who after initial success had crowd collapses

you know just like the wa reds did

that’s the whole reason why I raise them as evidence lol

No never suggested that, I'm quoted as saying 1 in 100. Not 0
And I'm a League fan understanding AFL and only because my brother and father loves it that I've had enough exposure to understand it fully , watch games, cheer for a team ( because they were).
Usually your posts are really good.
You're smarter than these bs retorts.
Settle petal.

I have no idea how you get from glory and force are struggling, not that force are anymore, to a perth nrl club won’t work.
its as stupid as saying the two afl clubs and the basketball clubs are huge successes so a perth nrl club will be.

they’re irrelevant.

A perth nrl club will stand or fall on its own merits.

is the model and brand right? Ns Bears owned club will be a disaster for example

is the funding there to start up strongly with fan engagement and promotion, a cofe etc. Either nrl or private backing, or state govt support

will the club be supported by the nrl to attract a decent squad for first few years?

will the arlc get serious about funding the nrlwa to improve participation and get us back to our early 90’s registration rates of 10k plus?

those are the things that will make or break a perth nrl club, not how well the fricking force or glory are going!

Wow that must be great for your ego. Go you. Now off you go and find a whole bunch of other reasons Perth shouldn’t get a team. Your cheer squad is hanging off your every word!
There's a whole bunch of reasons why Perth should get a team and part of me wants to see that!
But with the lack of any evidence to the contrary, I feel obliged to provide it in order for a well rounded understanding of what the risks are in a Perth team. Sorry there are so many.. that's kinda why it hasn't been done...

They are not evidence. They both still exist. The circumstances affecting the reds are totally different anyway. Stop crying in your beer about a proposal that’s yet to be put forward and a business model we haven’t seen yet. Your relentless negative agenda really is embarrassing.

Bulldust. Everything you post points to the opposite. Just like your little cheer squad.

it hasn’t been done yet for a few reasons:
1. the nrl has largely been cash poor since SL, it’s had to prop up failing existing clubs and that has meant no money and no confidence in expanding
2. It’s traditionally myopic and super conservative, this is the same for rugby league everywhere. It’s our culture and why the game has barley expanded at all in one hundred years plus
3. It’s never had it’s arsed kicked in a tv deal like it just has. It may finally awaken them to the fact national metro footprint matters.

Or it could be another gws?

It could be. It probably won’t be either. Same as NZ 2 could fail. Or the Dolphins might fail. Or a whole number of clubs could collapse tomorrow. Everything is a possibility and everything is a risk.

The reasons why I think it is a good idea is it’s a largely affluent area with large numbers of expats from the east coast, South Africa and England. So firstly you have a pretty good chance of decent support. Secondly you have a strong economic and corporate base - it’s probably the wealthiest area in Australia at this point in time. Thirdly, it’s a massively growing area so if you get good support from the beginning (which I think they will) then you can grow that support with a growing population base. Fourthly, like NZ it is just good for TV and TV is important. It provides you with flexible scheduling which means more live matches rather than contemplating simulcasting.

Now that doesn’t mean that it is a guaranteed success (nothing is) but I think it gives you a better chance than a lot of other options.

Oh well go to court and fight a court case like they did

winners are grinners
Yes there are winners. They proved that getting culled by the NRL doen't mean you can't still get back in the comp and behind a success.
They didn't just whimper and die like your club.
