The benefit of the doubt rule goes to the defensive team,a try must be clearly scored to be awarded,no more dodgy tries

what about the double movement rule? at any place on the field you are allowed make the second movement without giving away a penalty except when you are just short of the tryline. Change the decisions from "No Try: Penalty" to "No Try: Play the ball" (or handover if its the last)

Allow the ball to be stripped at any time.
Contested scrums.
No golden point for normal season games. A draw is a draw.
Charge downs dont restart the tackle count.
No dominant or surrender tackles.

Any one of those, preferably all.

Cheergirls are allowed on to the field at any stage to distract opposition players.

The ball can be stripped, but only by tickling an opposition player under his arms.

Make the ball as big as a watermelon.

Players are suspended if they say "we'll see how we go next week" in an after-match interview.

Limit the video ref to the in-goal and off the ball incidents. I hate it when there is an obstruction but the ref calls play on and only calls it back when the try is scored, only to reverse the decision. If there was no try then they score on the next play then the video ref cannot intervene.

Reduce the interchange to old school.. once your off your off. Reward endurance to reduce the amount of giants playing the game and reward the true athletes who can run and tackle and day. Reduces injuries as well as the players will be lighter and have less strength.

It's getting boring watching 6ft 100kg prototypes running around. Widders would be a ball playing Prop in the 80's and is a dying breed and it's a bloody shame!

in a brawl, the aggressor is the only person binned, when one guy has someone unleash on him, its ridiculous to bin him for defending himself.

So a player can run in from the wing and king hit a guy and he is not punished?

That is stupid.

If someone runs in from the wing to hit someone theyre the agressor....

That's a complicated rule. If you unleash on someone, let th ref handle it. The Match reveiw committee will resolve it after the game.

Get rid of the charge down rule.

If you play at it and it comes off your arms, shoulders or hands it's a knock on, pure and simple

Well that would definately be to the Sharks advantage if Kickpoorely is still our halfback.

:D

Back to the srums of old.

Hookers striking for the ball. Love to see that again.

i don't think it's ever officially been banned??

during the recent samoa v lebanon WCQ game lebanon had head & feed and samoa simply steamrolled them won the scrum and scored..

But not if there is already someone punching his team mate. The aggressor would be the person that starts the fight.

By allowing teams to not feed the ball directly into the centre of the scrum it's effectively been wiped from the game.

Sure you can win the occasional scrum with a big push and hope that the ball gets a deflection off the oppositions boot somewhere, but long are the days gone where they are a genuine contest.

I meant when its just 2 guys going at it, whoever starts it gets binned, the other guy stays on the field.

I would change double movement rule. Let them get the ball over the line anyway they can until held.
