Burn every remnant of both cap cheating clubs (Warriors get leniency for admitting it, but dogs and Melbourne forever taken from history)

Bring in the butt pirates plus 3 other clubs, one based in Melbourne another as Brisbane 2 and the third to be contested by other bid applicants

Build a national centre of rugby league excellence in PNG, this would train all higher level junior and senior rep sides with developmental coaches posted there for every position, not shit ones either

I'd add four more teams: Perth, Adelaide, another team in Queensland (Brisbane II or CQ) and another team overseas (Wellington or PNG)

Allow Perth into the comp with a 2-3 year lead in to allow them to assemble a strong roster.

- Kick off after scoring to be made by the attacking team to the defensive team. This ameliorate the momentum that teams can get leading to blow out scorelines.
- Contested play of the ball.
- Change the stripping rule.

I'm not sure about this one, because it provides a massive advantage to one-city teams. Perhaps a sliding scale of salary cap rebates for "locally" developed players. Eg

0-3 years: 0% off
4-6 years: 5% off
7-10 years: 25% off
10-12 years: 50% off
13+ years: 75% off

Big incentive for one club players. Those numbers are obviously just pulled out of thin air, but with some adjusting this would be fantastic.

Not the same premise at all. John Grant isn't a dictator. He is answerable to a board. He deals with state bodies and clubs and broadcasters all pulling in different directions.

If he brought up the schedule I outlined in my OP channel 9 would tell him to get f**ked. If he brought up 2 new clubs in the next 4 seasons, the 16 existing clubs would tell him to get f**ked. If he brought up rearranging the rep calendar like I did the NSWRL, QRL and ARL would all tell him to get f**ked.

*Get rid of Monday & Thursday night football! (Its taking away our weekend and giving other lesser sports more opportunity on prime time weekend time slots!)
*Make definite plans to have additional clubs in the competition over a staged timeframe.
*Introduce free to air/pay tv Sunday evening football-6.30pm kick off instead of Monday night football.
*Promote the coming World Cup for 2013.
*5pm Grand Final kick off time!
*Look at 3.30pm Saturday afternoon kick offs in June & July.Leading into 5.30pm then 7.30pm games.
*Promote that the physicality of rugby league is a good thing. It reflects commitment and mental toughness, fun & skill to aspiring kids! Certainly dont want our future kids growing up thinking wimpy sports are a passage for respect.(AFL, RU etc)
*Help the international RL pursue justice for the French RL over what happended to French RL in 1942. In fact there are other instances of RU deliberately trying to hault the progress of RL around the world(South Africa/Ireland/most private schools in Aust etc). This should be made common knowledge but done tactfully! I spoke to a soccer fan last week and discused this and he wondered why RL wasnt more international than RU and then we used logic to work out that the people at the big end of town are mostly private school educated and therefore have RU bias and this bias has held sway all over the world to stunt the growth of the much more appealing and deserving sport of rugby league.
