I remember in the early 2000's prior to the two Friday night games, Channel Nien up here used to show the Broncs nearly every Sunday if they were playing even if it wasn't the Nine televised match.
Nien would just use the Fox coverage and put Chris Bombolas in the box to do their commentating(he was fugging worse than Hadley, plus he was ridiculously biased!).
This wasn't so much of a problem for me as I generally didn't watch the Sunday match unless we were involved. This was until they fuggen put a Broncs game on instead of the Sharks v Dragons derby which was the Nien match of the day. Rang Foxtel the very next day and haven't missed a Sharks game since.

And Quigs, I agree regarding your comments about Broncs support up here. There seems to be a lot of support for other clubs other than them up here, so I reckon there's plenty of peeved off supporters from other teams living in Qld.

I think you might be in for a little shock there '73'. There are a lot of folk north of the Tweed that detest the Donks. There are a lot of lifelong supporters of other clubs who have not jumped or considered jumping ships to the Donkeys. 4 out of 5 is a big call, I'd call it 50/50

I think the NRL should share the free to air games evenly over the twenty six regular season rounds. That way every one would be happy

AT least here in Sydney we have some attractive alternative Friday night TV, with the Schlocky Horror Picture Show on Community tv station TVS. Every Friday night they show an old b grade horror or sci fi movie from the 50s - 60s, last Friday it was the Phantom from 10,000 leagues.

Has that been confirmed?

If so I want to plan the evening. I might sand the floorboards during the breaks or start a new 10000 piece jigsaw puzzle.

As for trying to watch City v Country. Well its a thumbs down before I even think about it.

Is it just me turning into a sour old prick like the Cap'n or are there others in the same boat.
