I remember Deadly Earnest vaguely. Can't recall ever sitting up and watching though. He looked like a corpse right?

I also remember Deadly Earnest, he was an integral part of my education. No one will be reminiscing the same way about Hadley in 40 years time.

AT least here in Sydney we have some attractive alternative Friday night TV, with the Schlocky Horror Picture Show on Community tv station TVS. Every Friday night they show an old b grade horror or sci fi movie from the 50s - 60s, last Friday it was the Phantom from 10,000 leagues.

Good tip Tom, this week it's The Brain That Wouldn't Die, which sounds like it may have been the source for Steve Martin's The Man With Two Brains.

BS, you're truely a man of taste and knowledge. I have the "Brain" on DVD but will still be watching Schlocky for the witty commentary. For those out of the Sydney metro area, you can watch TVS via their website www.tvs.org.au . I also recommend their doco series "Flesh Air", which is getting a re-run starting Thursday 26th April at 9pm.

I love 50s & 60s b-grade horror & sci-fi

There used to be a show called Creature Feature on channel 7 in the 70s, every Saturday night which did a similar thing with the golden oldies, rarely missed it.

Loved Vincent Price doing the Edgar Allan Poe stories, Pit & the Pendulum, The Raven, Fall of the House of Usher etc.
