At the last Parklea thing he only signed 'PJ'...... at a signing table where that's all he had to do, he still had to shorten his precious work load by not signing his surname.

I'm sorry but I have nothing nice to say about him, as a player or a clubman

A while back I sent in photos to the club of Wade McKinnon, Timmy Smith and PJ Marsh to be signed. When I got them back both Wade and Timmy signed their name along with "All The Best!", but PJ didn't! lol But I did get the full "PJ Marsh", though the J looks more like a 4.

When I went to the Fan Day, Tim, Blake and Josh all said, "You're welcome," after I thanked them for signing my stuff. The other blokes gave a polite nod and smile.

PJ, on the other hand, never looked up, signed the thing, handed it back rather harshly and the stood up, took a look at the long line and muttered to himself (but just loud so that I could hear), "Oh, man...We'll be here for hours..."

Players don't have to sign autographs, I think alot of players get sick of having to do it all the time. Also, I think in the days of ebay, players and clubs get cynical and don't want their names to be used to make other people money. If you are genuine in your want for their autograph then that is fair enough but how do they know you are?

Oh you know, we are just the people who pay our hard earned to go to games every week and in turn lines their pockets with wages 3 times more than what the average fan earns..

players do need to sign them at offical day though

and just so you know ND, a certain ex player of ours sold alot of stuff on ebay. he even got all the boys to refuse to sign the retro jersey from 06(this includes a offical siging session too). so he could sell it at a better price

How do they have the right to question you though?
Do they want a signed stat dec to say you wont put hem on eBay when we know for sure there are a few players that do it themselves

heck, invite them over to my place and they can see for themselves I've kept every single little thing they have written their names on

Then they'd probably call for the men in white coats to come and take me away in a straight jacket for being nuts

Yeah I think Nathan commented on the fact the Jersey I was gettin signed had a name on it. The last time I was gettin one signed with "Cooper" on it he had a go at me and told the others that he knew I sold stuff on ebay. In front of everyone at Parklea I replied "Yeah dickhead, and I hope that someone with the name Cooper bids on it!" But I have also explained to him, that if I go to a game and they lose, I have every right to sell something to recoup my costs  But in general he wasnt a player that was fazed by ebay.. at that stage anyways.

so what if people put stuff on ebay?

not everyone can make it to games and hang around after, or can go to fan days.

If something is on ebay, and someone wants to pay for it, good luck to them and the seller.

If people (ie players, authorities) are worried about people making money off them on ebay, the easy way to stop that is to flood the market with signed jerseys and posters etc to devalue the signature.

you can still do special stuff in house for charities etc.

But seriously.

All ebay does is provide a marketplace for people who want stuff and dont have the same access others do.

When I sent a pic of Luke O'Donnell to the Cowboys for him to sign it they made me say that I wouldn't sell it on eBay or anywhere else!

Are you serious? Actually, they were running some comp for kids today, but they were filling out the forms at the door. Thought they mighta been contracts we had to sign  I made $180 by selling 2 signed Craig Wing photos on ebay. And they were only 8 x 10's. I figure if someone is stoopid enough to pay that money, who am I to stop them. Esp when its going in my pocket!
