Oh, and I've said it before and I'll say it again - I don't give a rats arse about your view of me Skeepe. If the club went with what you think (which funnily enough, they appear to be doing) we'd be constantly sitting towards the bottom half of the ladder (which funnily enough, we do).

I must agree with Timbo here as skeepe has absolutely no idea on what a decent side looks like with previous suggestions.
I get laughed at to mention Waddell at halfback, i mention that before cause i see we are so so desperate to try something else, Hope Mogg can do a J Smith and give us something more than inconsistent performances.
Maybe even giving Dugan a go at halfback and putting Milne back in the fullback spot.
I really dont know how we can fix our side but we need something opposite to what we have

Timbo has given a solution and so have the others, we cant play duds week in week out and recruit benchies at best to be our superstars..every team at the very least improves, honestly in nearly 10 years we have been the exact same team.

The sky has fallen and its people like you sitting around being happy with a 13th ranked team year in year out. Sure Gus Gould tips us for the spoon, but we are never far from it.

If you think we are improving and moving forward then your either blind or so damn biased that you need to be checked out...far out we suck as a team and need some major changes. Im not negative just pointing out that our last charge was in 2002. Basically one season in 10 years we looked okay.

There is nothing wrong with us not being happy to be a club not moving forward.

We complain cause a team cannot have more losses then wins every bloody year. Others support the raiders by acting optimistic, fair enough...I did too, but Ive yet to see anything for so long.

its not our job to make the raiders play better, rather then ask us on a forum what we would do why dont you ask the Furners and every other person involved in the raiders what needs to happen.

People are getting paid to run a club poorly and you get frustrated that several fans have had enough of the horrible games being played...

We used to have a good half in Todd Carney. He made his bed. Upon signing Todd we released McCrone to Penrith. Todd got sacked, we were forced to try Herbert and McCrone. Can't blame the club for that.

Look at the circumstances behind things that happen. Its not mere bad management or acceptance of mediocrity.

I am just sick to death of knowing with absolute certainty that this club I have poured so much time, money and devotion into has absolute zero chance of lifting the trophy on grand final day.

No, I didn't think we did, for these three reasons:

1) The ongoing halfback problem that was caused by Todd Carney
2) The ongoing hooker problem that the club attempted to resolve by signing Stuart Flanagan who turned out to be a total dud who can't even get a run at the Sharks
3) Injuries suffered during the season and trials, Monaghan in particular as well as all of our other options at hooker, that have put us on the back foot

I've found that if I can keep those things in mind I can generally stop myself from making comments about setting our own players on fire or hoping they get injured and never play again.

One other thought I had and, as much as I hate to say it... Maybe we need a captain who can take more direction with the team? Tongue is awesome, my favourite player by far, but maybe he just doesn't have the screaming voice needed to direct the team around like the Lockyers do, etc... That said I don't think anyone else on our team has that ability either

Don't agree with your initial post Timbo, but you do make some good points. It seems every year we come to a point when we are screwed, pick Brett Kelly, and then watch him fail miserably. It is dead set cyclic.

We won't be in contention this year, I think we can all see that. If we don't sign a halfback or see one of our junior halfbacks blossom 2011 will be yet another waste. I am all for giving Furner a chance to prove himself this year, but so far he's been very mediocre
