In Fitzy We Trust

I had high hopes when we first signed The Gibbon. Call me a silly optimist but I still do. It’s his 2nd year as a head coach and as much I (and many others) dreamt of winning our 2nd premiership within his 1st few seasons, that was extremely unlikely to happen.

Perhaps the squad that he was happy to inherit isn’t quite what he thought they were.

Will we smash the shit teams and go missing against the top for the rest of his tenure and never look remotely likely? Or will our climb to genuine premiership contenders just take a bit longer than expected? I think the latter, so I guess I still trust….

Up Up!

Not tough enough, another assistant coach turned coach failure atm. The game has been littered with them lately. NZ coach is the exception.
Webster looks a million bucks one season in. Turned around a team out of the 8 into a top 4 side. Sound familiar.

Before you all jizz on him, let’s see what happens next year.

As for the should have kept SJ gang, anyone remember how much money he stole at the sharks?

Fitz was on a podcast last month and spoke about the hardest thing is selecting the team and how he reckons we have 5-6 players in NSW cup he would be comfortable picking each week who miss out. Changes for changes are bad but at this point Backrower/Moylan/Sifa/Ronnie has been torn apart for 2 years. We need to see something.

As soon as Wilton went down the Warriors ran in 4 tries in 12 minutes. The first 3 on the edge and the 4th was because we were rocked and on the back foot.

As Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

He didn't say it. He didn't write it. He's just attributed with it. It's just a cliche that people needed to attribute to someone. Most of the world do the same thing over and over again. Even Penrith, and they win comps so it's not even insane

Is this a thing? In here? Here where nearly everyone wanted him drawn and quartered then strung up to the tallest tree by his johnson? Wow!

Only this year. Fitz was the exception last year.
depends on how you want to measure success. The season was a success but the finals were a flop. Thats a worrying sign to me on how they exited and how the consistency is getting worse for this team. There were clear issues that still haven't been addressed from last years finals

I do and still hate him for it. A time when money was tight.

Let's see Warriors next year unless they win this year and Webster will have done it.

All the teams will look how he coaches the players in the off season, more of a challenge next year.
Panthers has no problems with Warriors this year, Cleary would know Webster's style best

This week is the most impressed I have been.

We needed a change, may not work, may prove genius, regardless a couple of floggings with a month required a decision, he made it.

Get Will to find his voice and Blayke to believe he is leading the team around.

But impressed this week.

It will be interesting to see what if any moves Fitzy makes if we lose.

He has been quite patient up until this point to try and get things on the left edge fixed. Hopefully he's prepared to give this new combination some time to find their feet.
