Dude I hope you didn't put this up just so in 12 months time you can say "I told you so."

Impossible to answer at the moment, however Shackleton is 27 and played City/Country last year while Galuvao is 31, last played rep footy in 2004 and Kingston is 26 and kind of a one trick pony (runs out of dummy half)

I'm not having a go at Galuvao or Kingston. They are great players. Galuvao played up a weight class for the backend of the season in the props department, while even if Kingston is a one trick pony, he's very, very good at it. All I am saying is Shackleton proved to be a good player in a crap team last year and if you're just putting this poll up as a pretext to having a go at him if he ends up a bust, then shame on you

I'll wait and see what Shackleton brings to the side in 2010 thanks. We needed to sign in some forward power as our pack leaders all get an extra year older.

Not Shackleton's fault that Hauraki and Oake were signed to longer/higher contracts than their form has demanded.

In hindsight? Until Shackleton plays for the club we can't be sure of what impact he'll have at the club at all.

To be honest i dont think the coaching staff would have changed their recruitment if they had a chance to as we only have one big forward over 105kg and that is Fui .In our magic run our forwards were great yes but i dont think we totally dominated anyones pack it was more so our ability to pop the ball out and support each other .i really think with the addition of Shacks and Poore you will see our pack dominate other packs and blokes like Cayless and Hindy, Feleti will be more dangerous with offloads playing of the back of the three big boys now not one.Cant Wait.

Apparently Ando continues to hold a very high opinion of Shack who was used very poorely at the Roosters.

Shackleton was easily the best defender in the Rorters team, it was noticeable when they took him off there were easy yards made . Think he is prety athletic, and didn't cost as much as the speculation I have read, should be a good purchase.

Suity, what a debate that would be.

A winger playing prop, amd a prop playing five eight....ummmmmmmm

nothing like placing out the welcome matt for new players.

It's all academic now, lets get behind our team as it stands and make the new guys feel welcome. The end of the season should have made people realise what can be achieved by a unified team.

Give the bloke a chance FFS, Shack is replacing Tood anyway. We are losing Joe and Kinga due to Supercoach signing blokes like Hauraki and Oake to ridiculous money.

I like the injection of new blood into a team. Gulavao gave us 2 good years service, but his best is behind him. Hopefully we will see the best of Shackleton in the blue and gold.
