Anyone who watched GoggleBox, Di Kershaw who was a regular on the show passed away. I used to love her reactions to some of the shows they watched and her laugh and she did love a drop of red. She will be missed.

Nichelle Nichols - Star Trek’s Uhura and pioneering television actress - has sadly passed away at the age of 89.

An actor, she was a pivotal cast member of the Star Trek franchise and broke barriers in tv for women and African Americans. During the civil rights movement of the 60s, she was an important cast member and became a black icon. Plus she shared one of the first inter racial kisses on tv with William Shatner.

Inspiring many, Nichols spent much time of her later life working with NASA, helping to recruit, inspire and encourage women from all backgrounds to become interested in space, science and NASA.

May her memory live long and prosper.

Wow....she was 26 years older than me?

As a kid, I watched Star Trek "religiously". Shatner, Nimoy and the others were just brilliant.... albeit a bit tongue in cheek....

Clu Gulager, 93

Appeared in a lot of stuff, but I know him from mid-eighties fare like A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 and The Return of the Living Dead.

This is a real big one - Olivia Newton John has sadly passed away from breast cancer.

The star of Grease, Xanadu and hugely popular Australian singer and actor, had a huge career in music and film and is a pop cultural phenomenon and all round nice gal.

Far too young for Olivia. Fair to say she was the first love for many boys of a similar age to me. I still remember seeing Xanadu at the Kingswood drive in when it first came out. Terrible movie, but it didn’t matter. Olivia was an angel and I was smitten.
Fast forward to the release of Physical. As an 11 or 12 yo I was torn and not quite sure why. The funny feeling in the pants region watching the video offset by knowing that I wasn’t the only one seeing it.
When she married Matt Latanzi I was shattered, the dream was over.

Rest In Peace Olivia.
