Diamond Dogs is such a brilliant album, especially sweet thing/candidate/sweet thing. Probably the worst 2 songs on the album were the singles D-Dogs and Rebel rebel.

RIP, many have tried but no one will ever be like Bowie.

Spot on with your critique of the Diamond Dogs LP. Those two songs have been overplayed to hell - same as Heroes and Ashes To Ashes.

However, my all time favourite Bowie album is The Man Who Sold The World. It's in my top ten albums of all time. The first side is so eerie dark and brooding with songs such as A Width Of A Circle, All The Madmen and Black Country Rock.
