Am I defending Hughes? No. But defending Khawaja for taking 24 balls to get 1 and then getting out is even more stupid.
They both failed you mental midget, but Hughes fails so you have a slight dig at Oozie. Do you really think Clarke and Invers read in here????

They have form right at the moment, that is the most important thing. Maxwell oes offer all roun abilities, he is an elite fieldsman.

The Big Show got a duck against the Presidents XI, I guess that second innings 12 not out must have been truly amazing.

Unless you're referring to net form, or maybe the West Indies series?
Lets see.... 1*, 4, 0, so I guess you are hanging on to that 'amazing' 51* like the rest of the world is.

Hey that 51 is more than Khawaja has scored...lets not mention his wickets, as I said he offers all round ability which without Watson's bowling on flat pitches is probably needed more than an out and out batsman

Yes he does offer all round ability.

He offers pies that unlike in ODI or T20 where batsmen get themselves out trying to slog him to the next oceans, he'll get taken apart in tests against some of the best players of good spin in the world let alone piece of shit wanna be offies.

He offers no technique and throw the bat like a lump of wood where in ODI and T20 it might pay off one in every 10 games but in tests he'll be lucky to get past single digits in each innings.

Again, you have no idea about cricket. Have you even played it before?

We all said the same thing about Andrew Symonds..."slogger, etc". Honestly have you seen Maxwell bat in 4 day cricket, he bats pretty differently. Maxwell is a VASTLY better fielder than Khawaja, in fact Usman would be the worst. His bowling isn't great but it gives you an option in a country where part time spinners take wickets (think of Sehwag's darts!).

First of all, where did you get your argument that part time spinners take wickets in India? Sehwag averages 47 with the ball in tests. He is a pure batsman that bowls pies and everybody knows that but you. Overseas spin bowlers, even the best usually struggle in India.

Second, Andrew Symonds made his mark with that 140 odd against Pakistan in the 03 World Cup. Maxwell hasn't played an innings in the same galaxy as that. The comparison is non existent.

Thirdly, where has it been defined that Khawaja is the worst fieldsman in Australia? Didn't he field at bat pad for a while? Only good fielders get placed there.

No one said that about Symonds lol. Roy was consistent in the shield and also consistent in ODI and was score for score out performing Martyn. Symonds was actually a decent offie, he could swing his mediums and he had a good technique just not much patience but that 100 against England in Melbourne showed otherwise as it was nicely crafted. Symonds was a good all round cricketer who got distracted. Comparing him to Maxwell is like comparing a gold ring to a turd.
