Inglis = overrated

No way is Ingliss overrated IMO. A great player with tons of ability. As suggested in this thread already I just feel he needs to be back in the centres to have the impact that talent can bring. The fact he can cover 5/8 when needed is more proof of his talent. No one in their right mind would ever suggest they would not want this guy in their team.

Fair enough meth - entitled to opinion.

I saw Inglis play fullback for Norths Brisbane before he went to grade.

He scored a record amount of tries average of 1+ per game and looked like a under 16 playing under 12s - this was first grade QLD cup @ 17.

He has all the skills of a fullback, can take a bomb, pick a grubber off his toes, kick return for tries and chime in to set up others.

Bit wasted at centre IMO.

I used to think that as well and I also watched him heaps at Q Cup with Norths.

If he had stayed there for the Storm he would have developed into the best fullback.

But because he's been at five eight and in the centres I actually think he's changed into more of a left centre now instead of fullback.

Playing fullback in NRL is a lot different to playing it in Q Cup because every time you get the ball on a kick return in NRL there is a full line in front of you.

Inglis doesnt have the quick footwork that other fullbacks such as Slater and Stewart, and Lockyer when he was there, has, he is best when he can hit the ball at pace out wide in one-on-one matchups with the opposite centre.

He was sh*t tonight. Folau had a dig. Slater had a dig. Cronk even. Inglis? MIA.

He is only good if someone puts him into space. Owned by Lion. He is crap.
Ridiculous post.
Inglis is one of the best no doubt - the best centre for sure imo. The Origin series and last years GF confirm how good a player he is. He has been hampered by injuries lately and of course he does not belong at 5/8.

You're a bloody idiot. Obviously you've never played football before. Inglis was in the centres, he did what was asked of him, sure he didn't dominate but the ball wasn't sent his way very often, to say piggy lyon would've done much better is absolutely ridiculous, Jamie Lyon shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Greg Inglis. While we're at it why don't we mention you lil wolfman losing coughing up possession for us on 3 occasions in his own half, now Denan Kemp wouldn't have done that......

now now petal calm down - the wolfman didnt have his best game granted but to say that inglis shouldnt be mentioned with lyon is more like it - they opposed each other on the biggest stage this year and 80 mins later inglis got owned by lyon - he took us to victory - long live the king - the Lyon King!

And what happened in the 80 mins of the biggest game the year before???
To try and make a judgement about a players ability on one game is ridiculous

He was off on the night for Australia but there wouldn't be too many people that wouldn't love to have him at their club.

Well ok I guess you're used to no one agreeing with you because you think Jamie Lyon is a better player then Greg Inglis.

lol @ this bump.

Inglis has been good all tournament.

In the final, not much comes his way and he and Mannering both had quiet games as most of the play went the other way.

Mannering held his own, but did nothing spectacular either and Simon is a fine player.

ok parrott.

Opinions are OK, as long as you never criticise one of Queensland's golden boys.

Despite the fact that GI went MIA, while Slater, Folau, Heather and JT didn't, and in the GF GI also went missing, while Folau had a dig, In the Semi v Brisbane, GI scored the match winner only after great lead up work by Manu, but also was largely missing whoile Smith, Crocker, Cronk and Folau also had a go.......

Have to agree...09 need to be a big season for him because he has not shown much in the big games this year.

Your in danger of being ex-communicated here Kia Ora, agreeing with loudstrat about a Storm player.

He had a poor finals series, but to say he's not a big game player is ridiculous as the record Hellteam posted clearly shows.

Ball never came his way the other night and he even switched side a few times to go looking for it.
