My point is that steroetyping is a form of racism.
Whether it is meant in jest or not means nothing. What would happen if Beau Ryan dressed as a "stereotypical" Aboriginal? Dirt flanno, no shoes trying to bludge a smoke in front of Centrelink? Would that skit ever make it to air?
I am not even discussing the Johns incident in specifics anymore. He will cop whatever punishment because it is deserved. But the holier than though attitudes of some are astounding.
