I reckon its because he is still young and growing into his body. Once he gets into his early twenties I doubt he will miss many games due to niggling injuries like he is now.

Toohey goes into some more detail about what's happening with Edrick in Toohey's News:

Broke his foot in January and was initially thought to be a 5-6 week injury. Obviously wasn't the case and he's currently been advised to keep off the foot as much as possible. Hasn't even been training for the past several weeks and only sighted around Knights HQ wearing a moon boot and getting around on a scooter. He's desperate to get on the field this season but would seem to be long odds, so good chance he's played his last game for the club.

Or would this be one of those unlucky things which basically ties in with the Knights?

Pretty messed up when original diagnosis was to miss a month of footy and then to miss an entire season.

He has been put to the side a little of late with the rise of Turbo, Cleary and Mitchell. If he truly seeks greatness he has been given a blank canvas to prove it in game 3. Even if he somehow just makes them look competitive.

How? His team provides no go forward. He will spend the whole game trying to diffuse difficult kicks and making cover tackles whenever Latrell, Turbo or Teddy makes a line break.

Queensland did have a decent amount of ball in NSW's 20m. Ponga might have made a difference then but that's a maybe.
