There is talk of Siddle, Copeland and Hilfenhaus being the attack. If so that will well and truly do me.

Doubt very much they'll pick Hilf over Pattinson.

Stranger things have happened though.

Speaking exclusively to Nine News reporter Danny Weidler, Watson confirmed that a hamstring injury would keep him sidelined for the opening match of the Australian summer of cricket in Brisbane.

So he's spoken to someone who isn't SBW, Anthony Mundine or Khoder Nasser? F*** me.

Yeah I'm beginning to be filled with dread about this summer.

Danny the Dickhead is apparently covering cricket.

Not so crazy given experience that's already been stripped from the side.

Yeah Haddin is safe simply because 5 guys are out. They won't make any unforced changes.

Warner is a no brainer and it looks pretty likely that Siddle, Hilfenhaus, Pattinson and Copeland will be the 4 quicks picked. Copeland will play for no other reason than Watson's missing so his ability to bowl long tight spells will be needed. Siddle will stay for the same reason Haddin will. The last spot will be a toss up I reckon and probably only decided on the day. I'd go Pattinson, but I can see Hilf getting the nod on the basis of experience. Scary proposition with Siddle and Hilfenhaus' proven ability to not take wickets and Copeland's wickets seemingly dried up atm.

looks like Warner is a shoe in

hopefully they dont stick with Siddle as he's been tried tested and failed just way too many times, but even though we have new selectors I reckon they will consider him

you'd think Pattinson has earned a spot but wouldn't surprise me to see like for like, Starc for Notch as Copeland seems next in line for the other spot, I dont think we should pick 3 right arm quicks

Yeah picking 3 quicks is a bad idea, we got away with it for so many years.. Lets just give a baggygreen to Starc because he is like Notch, bowls more shit then good deliveries... Sounds like a win, win and a pathetic start for the new selectors.

I agree he had some disappointing returns earlier but he has bowled well at the end of last season and in his last 3 games, Aust A included.

Tall left arm 140ks and can swing the ball is a good formula but he has to turn that formula into consistent figures but he's still pretty young and got alot of cricket in front of him.
