Injury update

The fact that we are trying to rush him back tells you all you need to know about how much we rely on him for our attack. Cleary won't have to bust out any new plays if "shovel it to Kikau" is still on the menu!
Or it tells you how desperate we are not to be missing the only 2 starting quality second rowers we have.

Our pack is weak as f**k with Yeo and Kikau out. Even playing injured they're a huge upgrade over the alternatives.

Although we need to think beyond one game with Kikau. No point using him this week if he reinjures himself and misses more game time.

Sad news scans have confirmed Grant has torn his pec.

Scans have revealed the full extent of the pectoral injury suffered by Panthers prop Tim Grant in the win over Manly Sea Eagles.

Grant suffered a grade two pectoral tear while making a tackle during the second half of Thursday's game at Panthers Stadium.

The 31-year-old will visit a specialist on Monday and will likely require surgery to repair the damage.

Grant will be sidelined indefinitely, with a more specific timeline to be established in consultation with the specialist next week.

Damn that's unfortunate. He's been good this year. Not spectacular but doing his part professionally.

Shame for Tim Grant. Real professional. If not for this unfortunate injury he would have passed the 200 game milestone but sadly given this will end his season he will finish just short.

Hopefully McKendry’s knee holds up - if he gains match fitness in C Cup you’d have to think he will break back into the side now

I hope he regains the same ability he had before his 3rd ACL injury. He was our form prop early on before disaster struck. He would take Leota's spot on the bench if he does.

If Yeo has surgery you'd think Naden gets the exemption.

I thought I heard it said this week that Naden was moved into the development squad and therefore no longer needs an exemption to play (after June 30) which is pretty much our next game anyway? Pretty sure they mentioned it in commentary on fox tonight too?

Yes so one more game and then he can play without the exemption.
