Sharks:
1. Aekins
6. May
7. Luai
Broncos and to finish the year:
1. Luai
6. Maloney
7. Cleary
DWZ will be FB as soon as he’s back. We want the most experienced spine possible for a finals run.

I don't think Hook will plan to have a different fullback for different games. Whoever is fullback will be tested under high balls. I think he'll go for Whare with Peach at centre. Peach is unlikely to play big minutes on Wednesday. I also think we should have a recognised goal kicker, so play Cleary and rest Maloney would be my initial plan, with May at 6.

I prefer mine because we still get the benifit of DWZ while adding the skill of Luai. The third option in attack would be invaluable in the opposition 20m.
I hope that NRL.com is just useless and unaware of Aikens/Luai playing FB because this is what they wrote:
With Tyrone Peachey set to return from Origin duty for Penrith's clash with Cronulla next Friday, coach Anthony Griffin could use the NSW utility at the back or shuffle his back line to put Dean Whare, Waqa Blake, Christian Crichton or Tyrone Phillips in the No.1 jersey.

Shouldn't have too much trouble getting a sponsorship from health insurance company for 2019.Not a week goes by this season where we don't endure another damaging injury and DWZ is the latest casualty.
No shortage of possible replacements, Whare, Blake, Aekins, Laui or May but none are ideal and it is just another hurdle we have to cope with in this injury riddled season.

Tbf he just played the NSW residents game the other week.Aekins in at FB. Watching the reserves yesterday, he was fairly quiet. Perhaps he'd already been tipped re DWZ's injury and FG debut next week.

Still far ahead in many competition stats so probably is next up for a turn. He was good in that game on Sunday
So he's playing rep and leading ISP stats? Has to be close to a call up

He missed a game so he is one game less for these but 1st in Kick return metres. Total run metres, Total runs, Tackle breaks, Post contact metres
So plenty to say he should atleast get a shot this week
What I've seen has been good but damn that's a huge effort. Imagine beating the Sharks with a spine of rookies.
They won't have asked the coach and even if they did, he wouldn't have told them. The team is announced on Tuesday, not Sunday. Even the fullback named tomorrow may not be the one who takes the field.I hope that NRL.com is just useless and unaware of Aikens/Luai playing FB because this is what they wrote:

Whose brainwave is this? Players whose clubs play Friday should be excused from this function. There is a lunchtime function for the NSW team on Thurs.

A friend of mine is a physio for an NRL team. I remember him telling me that there would be at least 1 knee and 1 shoulder reco per annum on average in both first and reserve grade so 4 season enders. That doesn’t include all the other injuries. Some times teams are just blessed/cursed (in our case) with outlier seasons. Not a week goes by this season where we don't endure another damaging injury and DWZ is the latest casualty.
