Dummy half takes a fair amount of footy smarts and the decent ones possess a degree of game management. I disagree that all utilities could play dummy half at a first grade standard.
Plenty also wouldn’t have the passing game required for dummy half, although to be fair our current 5/8 also struggles passing left to right.

It really depends on how the team plays. Back in 2014 when Edwards played hooker the grand final hookers were a couple of rookies (including Moses Mbye). Aubusson at the Chooks even played a couple of games at hooker that year. If you don't have an NRL quality game manager at hooker you don't pretend you have one and then play like the Storm with Smith. You have to adapt. Pick a dude who can tackle and pass and run the ball. Edwards could do all those things. Certainly better than whichever specialist hooker we had left in reserve grade with Peats, De Gois and Pritchard unavailable.

Yeah unfortunately i think we have seen the best of sivo for good. He is already slow as it is. ACL and MCL rupture at the same time means next year will be a write off. And the following year he will be 30.

Sivo is finished. Imagine how slow he will be now.
I am not completely dissappinted for our side. Sad for him and hate to see a guy injured but I rather all of Waqa,Pensini,Opacic,Fergo,Haze as players. Russel with another off season will improve. So will Haze actually who is stronger then I first thought.
Naiduki maybe pushing also. Plus whoever we sign.
