An extra twenty minutes of footy a week makes zero difference from a long term fatigue point of view. It's twenty minutes ffs. They spend several hours a week on the training field.Roache has spent most his career on sidelines. Rheed playing 80mins was always goingnto hurt his young frame.
The reason they're more chance of getting injured over 80 minutes isn't due to being unable to handle the minutes, it's due to increased opportunity to pick up an injury. If a player's mean time between injuries is 800 minutes (for example), he will get an injury roughly every 10 games if he's playing 80 minutes, but only every 20 games if he's paying 40 minutes.
