For those looking for a difference between the Drown incident V the Campbell incident its there for all to see.
Uncle Nick rang PV and The Bunker at half time and Robinson went off like Mussolini from the balcony.
BA said it was probably an accident.
So ffs stop stressing. 😁

Chooks have all the journos on speed dial and on the hook. Wouldn't suprise me that Uncle Nick gives them a free lunch every month.

How quick did they get it out there they were screwed over the by the NRL concussion rules on Saturday.

I see this one as arguably negligent but nothing more. He should probably got something for that, but he was flying across trying to stop a try. He gets all of his body low and makes contact with his upper body (his arm actually) and the knee at about the same time. I don't really know what else he could do other than dive in head first himself (which would be equally as dangerous).

I tell you the biggest difference. Russel wasn't a certainty to score. The Brown one he was almost certain to score. 99.9%

Couldn’t give a f**kin rats arse about angles etc. all I know is that there is a young player out for 2 months because Campbell led with his f**king knees. I can’t imagine he wanted to break his ribs and puncture his lung, but f**k me, the NRL have painted themselves into a corner on this. The only way to make sure this doesn’t happen more often is to suspend Campbell. Weak as piss. The club should be screaming about it.

I agree with you, however we see ball carriers falling into tackles and the tackler getting 2/3/4 weeks for contact with the head. Hell, we have even seen Kane Evans getting a holiday for being too tall when a players head hit his chest. So based on those judiciary results "accidental" hits to the head are still hits to the head.

There was no intent or malace in the Campbell or Brown tackles, both were careless and both tackled players ended up with the same injuries.

Sure. But as Hindy says, Brown's tackle was completely unnecessary...he came from behind on a bloke who had already crossed the line. I think the degree of recklessness was quite a bit greater. But that's obviously just my opinion.

So....if Russel just had bruised ribs the suspension should be less?

If you freeze the video in post above at 0.01, you'll see that the tackler's knee and right shoulder are approximately level (relative to sideline). That is not your classic 'leading with the knees'. Russel has gone to ground 1m out from the try line. How do you think Campbell should have tried to tackle him, given the circumstances?

Isn't that the point of diving? So the defender can't tackle you?
