I am not sure if I can re-watch that game yet. It's too heartbreaking and pisses me off more then the GF loss.

It has basically changed rugby league history if Penrith lost as they have should have they don't have a dynasty.

But did Dunster have 200m and 7 tackle breaks I don't recall him having that type of game. It was a arm wrestle between the big men in the middle for 70-80 mins with Klein giving us SFA in the ruck all night.

I think that was a penalty as soft it was. He clipped him just high enough from memory.

We were dudded & royally screwed over by a number of other calls that night.

We should have a penalty with around 15-20 mins to go with Luai in the bin dragging back Moses and on top of that Penisini was also tackled without the ball in that same line-break.

Dunster actually had a try called back for a forward pass in the 1st half which didn't look forward but we never got a 2nd replay of the pass that Gutho threw to him.

Gutho had the ball stripped him 2 on 1 in a tackle with 3 mins to go 5m out and was called play-on and Gutho to re-play the ball.

I havent even got to the trainer stopping the game yet when we were on the attack after making a line-break.

Big deal anyhows. One off. I seen enough of him and he wasn't anything more then a Jackson Paulo level. Hardly a Brian To'o level for example. Just average

He was not that fast and not strong. His ceiling wasn't that high. A toiler
Toilers are essential in the modern game. There are plenty of faster, stronger wingers than To'o but without him Penrith can struggle to get out of their half. Dunster was no star but he would've easily played 100 games. Russell is in pretty much the same position now.

At the age of 22 he ran for 200+ metres with seven tackle breaks in a finals match against Penrith ffs. His next game was the trial where his knee was shattered.
Typical horseshit stats to suit your argument. So f**king what? Ben Roberts once had a 10/10 game according to RLW at the same age playing for the Dogs and he was also an average player just like Dunster.

That was his last ever game before his knee was destroyed. Seven tackle breaks against a strong defensive opponent. He had a deceptive mix of strength and footwork and he had just found his confidence.

That preseason he re-signed until the end of 2025: https://www.parraeels.com.au/news/2021/12/17/haze-dunster-re-signs-until-2025/

Then in the first trial his season was over: https://www.sen.com.au/news/2022/02/21/eels-winger-ruled-out-for-season-with-serious-knee-injury/

I'm not saying Dunster was going to play Origin but I think he was definitely going to be a first grader. He is probably on top 17 money right now. Maybe $250k or more

I think you’re one of the most astute judges on this forum but I agree with Pou on this one. Dunster was looking very good before his injury (it took him a while to get going). Gus had massive wraps on him and made it known during the broadcast.

he forced his way into our NRL team by consistently making 200 metres per game week in week out in Cup

form like that couldn't be ignored

poor guy seems to have lost all that now

If HAZE was fit and never injured he'd maybe take Russels spot or Sivos. Huge upgrade? NO. At best he'd be equal to them.
