Shit
Very disappointing for Gutherson, but in the grand scheme of things for this season anyway, Gutherson at fullback and French on the wing isn't that much considerably greater a contribution than French at fullback and RVarR/Hoffman on the wing. In fact, I think either of those two on the wing is going to help us make more ground coming out of our end (which is a real weakness at the moment) and no longer sees French as a target for opposition kickers.
Tough luck for Gutho, but I don't think the end of the world for us.
Arguably my favourite non Rooster. Even I'm gutted for him and you guys.Gutted for him... Would I be correct in assuming he won't be back until after the beginning of the 2018 season - maybe a month or so in to it?
I reckon they will still just bomb to him in the middle
If he gets a 6 month recovery timeline he will make it back for the final stretch of the preseason but given I that I think it is his second full rupture of the same ACL he could be out longer. Depends on how good of a healer he is as well.
It is more congested there and easier to get blockers around the ball. Also fewer wingers (the best kick chasers) in the middle to contest for the ball.I reckon they will still just bomb to him in the middle
Same knee 2 x acls. He may never be back from that to a high level and that is being realistic. I hope he is but gee could be a career breaker.
I thought you were going to remind us again how quickly mansour recovered and that he's doing well.
But thankfully your post was a positive one. Smdh
