We beat two of the worse teams in comp by a field goal. And the storm minus 10 starters. The dogs come off a dodgie call and Tigers well a dropped ball.
While Dragons put 50 on manly and unlucky loss down in canberra the panthers have beat nz over there, Manly and Titans,

Im one of the few on here confident we can win comp. Waiting for the team to click and hope few other finals teams cop a few injuries like we have had. Whilst every other dickhead is planning what need to win it in 2018 or happy to make the 8.
Loser attitude. We are capable of winning it this year. Gutherson is a blow but Bevan back there means a big winger with Semi.
Hopefully Terepo and Frank add something.
Still ahead of your shitty panthers.

The biggest loss we could have suffered, Guth has become our go to guy, what a rapid rise to a absolute star of a footballer, you cannot use enough superlatives to describe how good, how versatile and how important he is to us.

Gutted is an understatement, with that spine and him at fullback I honestly thought we could have stirred the comp a little, not anymore.

Yes, we have ready made replacements, but there is only one Guthbus, there is no secret as to why we have won 4 straight, his move to fullback has been a large part of it. We should still make the 8 but I can't see us causing any damage.

Hope he has a speedy recovery his fast become my favourite player, unfortunately he is simple irreplaceable.

It's absolutely tragic that our two players who have consistently gone above and beyond have had their seasons ended in the same way.
What...? Are you talking about Kaysa Pritchard in the same breath as Gutho, as one of our best?

Crikey.

I think maybe he was referring to their attitude towards training. Both are noted as being the best trainers in the squad. Kaysa was photographed in his leg brace with a footy in hand barely a week after surgery ffs!!

Gutherson was the heart and soul of our team this season. Will be a big loss in terms of the keeping the team spirit going on the park.

His efforts have put Norman's and Moses' to shame - those big earners better step up in Clint's absence!

Ok, maybe at a push...

On a side note, I could walk around with a ping pong bat in my hand all day, but it doesn't turn me into a professional level player...

Kaysa was at training last week working on his passing from the ground/dummy half
Probably got told he had to, if he wanted to keep his job next year!

Will Smith put him to shame, and Cameron King is going fine imh.

(Just stirring, credit to Kaysa for trying...)

Arthur said from a team perspective the loss of Gutherson isn't so big. We have first graders ready to come into the team. I actually think we'd be worse off if we lost one of our kickers.

Tackles per minute (minutes per game)
0.60 (63) Kritchard
0.51 (60) King
0.64 (33) Smith (only counting his seven games at hooker/interchange)

Tackle effectiveness
92% Kritchard
94% King
94% Smith (again, not including his two games in the halves)

King and Smith have certainly been good enough, and I'm confident in them heading into the finals. But given the importance of work rate as the foundation of our middle defence, Kritchard is well ahead of the other two. It's understandable why he is Arthur's preferred option.

And if you don't agree with that then you are literally destroying science.

Terrible ... :persevere:

The worst part is he had just sorted out his hair ... it looked practically normal yesterday

Absolutely shattered for him. He is our best player and 3 or 4 players will have to step up to make up for his loss imo.

I reckon since Kaysa went down our aggresive defense been missing.

His still a massive loss whatever way you spin it, his been our best player hands down, you lose something your not gaining anything from his absence, regardless of who is brought in.
