Things looked to be going pretty nicely just a few weeks ago.
What's changed at the knights ?
This.I can't say that there has been a single game this year where I was happy with our performance. As others pointed out early in the year when we were trouncing teams, it was always against teams playing the worst football imaginable. A side in form would have won by twice what we were.
Bennett's negative approach to football is a bigger problem with the game than the 'cannonball tackles' he campaigns against.
How long have you been over there mate? Long term job or something?
I'm over Wayne's "style" of football. It just doesn't work for our club.
He has more than one style though of course. Just look at the attacking football Brisbane teams of the past used to play.
Whenever a team opts for a penalty kick outside of putting a game beyond doubt they deserve to lose.
Key word being used to, hasn't been like that in over a decade.
He's trying to fit what he did at St George into Newcastle (even buying the same players).

The Dragons were ready to win a premiership. They had the core of a team with potential and just needed Bennett to instil some belief and get them over the line.

I think this statement totally undermines Bennett's achievements at St.George. They had great teams in the 2000's yes and they would always shoot themselves in the foot somehow. Bennett changed their tactics as well as employed the self belief and got them to play tougher.
