Depends on the job you give him.
If it's playing at prop and running at other forwards then he is average.
It it's being a wide running back rower, running at and over back's and setting up centres and wingers then he is near unstoppable.
People tend to argue that just about any forward can run riot out wide due to the size difference alone but the fact of the matter is that most centres and wingers are the size of back rowers anyway. They also tend to jam in well and get numbers to tackles very efficiently so you need something more than just size nowadays. Taylor has a great short passing and kicking game as well as his sheer bulk. He is capable of hitting a hole or putting on a bit of footwork at the line as well. Most of these are qualities that would be wasted if he played at prop.
Besides all of this, the fact is that when he runs out wide you need two men at least, to bring him down. When he has all these other ball promoting qualities in his game as well, that makes him a dangerous proposition.
The speed of Origin doesn't suit him and he has also played a bit tighter than he would like. I think this is why he hasn't really blossomed for QLD.
