Is Idris ready for Origin?

Do you think Jamal Idris is ready for Origin footy?

lol at those comparing Inglis to Idris. Inglis is the player of his generation.

I think Idris will be a fine player.

He may be gay going by his girly pig tails, but @ 19 he is very good, defence is sus, but that is usual for his age.

Ian Roberts was a fine player. Jamal girly hair looks to be a player in the making.

I'd invite you to review the thread again and show where he's been compared to Inglis.

Not a single person has suggested he is a better player than him, merely that in one individual performance in 2009, Idris had his opposites' number on more than one occasion. As much as I dislike Inglis, I and most others here know he's a far better player than Idris at this point in time.

Idris marked Inglis last year. Idris won that battle
Both Idris and El Masri had Inglis' measure last year a Gosford.
Pig tails, with his girly hair style goes well, it would be a mistake to put him up against Inglis at this stage, would shatter his confidence.

Why not put Idris on the wing and team him up on the same side as Lyon? It could work and given Gidley may miss out it would allow Hayne to play fullback and the vacant wing spot to be taken care of.

Hmmm.

I thought it was pretty clear we were making a one game assessment, your problem if you missed the point guys...

I'd consider a comparison of the two if we sat down and went through tackle effectiveness, matches played, tries scored etc etc, nutted out the statistical and physical attributes of each player... I don't consider remarking about one game last year to be making a "comparison" of the two players.

I would consider that a full analysis of players.

A comparision is a comparision, which of course only dogs fans made.

Anyways, I am over teaching english for this evening.

Next time you are at a dogs signing, tell the young fella, his pigs tails are as gay as Sowards goal kicking routine.

I'd probably tell you to stick to supporting your wooden-spork favourite team. You've got plenty of issues to worry about down Shire way before getting your panties bunched about Idris' pigtails.

Surely you guys watch enough footy to know that Inglis steps up about 3 levels when playing Origin and Test footy.

How many gears would Idris step up given the chance though? The kid is a monster and is close to the most destructive runner of the ball currently in the game.

Can you imagine Idris with a star studded team around him? He would be near unstoppable.

if he keeps improving at this rate he should be good for consideration next season,at 19 years old there's no need to rush him

To tell you the truth he is a bit young so I think there would be more chance of him going the other way and having a shocker.

what would happen if inglis fended idris with his right hand, at the same time idris fended inglis with his left?

I think he is still a bit of a liability defensively, and is a bit error prone. But there's just so much potential there. Would prefer he was held back for this season, but hey, if he gets a call-up, good on him.

He went to Pemriff
I know that dude, I mean form-wise :D
I was actually hoping he'd stay at the tigers, that way when the Tigers and Bulldogs clash, we have Lote, Jamal and Dane all in 1 game. Imagine Lote and Dane tackling Idris
