Is John Morris going to be a big recruiter in the player market during his years as head coach.

We all know Flanno was really big in making a play for any big name player on the market if he thought they would add value to the team.

In some instances that tendency probably put a few promising juniors off and they left to get big contracts elsewhere like Tyrone Peachey, Tyson Frizell etc.

I’m thinking Morris might be a develop from within style of coach but could be wrong.

He does have very strong connections with this current crop of juniors coaching most at some stage in the lower grades. Are we about to see a change of our usual participation in the player market?

I think he will go into the market where he needs to and where we are lacking. No doubt the club will be looking for a winger or two, but anything else I am confident we can call upon our depth when needed,

Imo we're headed in the right direction salary cap wise considering BB...Flanno and Xerri would be on modest coin. Uele has been the big bonus for me in recent weeks. Starting to understand why the Cows were so pissed when they lost him. So young but a faarrken big mobile unit. Looking forward to seeing his game develop as the year goes on.

We definitely need to find an answer or two on the winger front.

Height, speed & toughness please.

Feki is the toughest winger in the NRL. Katoa, after JAC, is supposedly the fastest, between him or Xerri.
Im not sure how valuable height is . Tupuo & Oates would be the tallest. I wouldn't have them over ours.

Katoa was a slow as a wet week that time he had to chase down some bloke that had made a long break in one of our games not that long ago.

Can't remember the actual game but I can remember that he didn't make a dent on the bloke he was chasing.

Compare Xerri running past Guthbertson.

This is a crack-up!

Feki and Katoa are better than Tupou and Oates!

WOW!!!!!

Oates would run on to the left wing of ANY team in the NRL, displacing whoever was there!

You would never know how fast Katoa is cause he doesn't run straight. The couple of times he was put in the clear he propped and stopped and tried to dance around them instead of pinning his ears back. Then there's the fact that Oates could out contest Katoa without leaving the ground.....fortunate to be playing first grade imo.

I think...we will go young again
we have lume lume and ferris coming through

I don't see us signing oates, SKD or Rapana. none of the others are better than what we have.
may be worth looking to get a 2020 off contract guy to come early

Nick Cotric, Brendan Elliot, Kyle Feldt, Ryan Hall, Alex Johnston, Sione Katoa, Marcelo Montoya, Brett Morris, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Justin Olam, Michael Oldfield, Phillip Sami, Gehamat Shibasaki, Maika Sivo, Reimis Smith, Ilikena Vudogo, Suliasi Vunivalu, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak

Cotric
Shibasaki
Sivo

Charnze wont leave cos he has fullback sewn up at the raiders

Are they our only 2 wing options are they?
Morris, Dugan, Gray, Xerri, Lume Lume, Feki, Katoa, Mulitlalo, Ferris & then theres the 2 young kids coming through as well.
As I said, I would not pay the asking price, which is about $650 grand, for either Tupou or Oates, as what we have, is as good or close enough without the spend.

It was Cedrick Leigh.
