he is prone to brain explosions occasionally.. i forget which game it was, the tigers were ahead by only a couple of points... the clock is ticking down and benji decides to chip and chase 10 metres out from his own line lol asked why he did it...he says he wanted to win by more points lol
anyone remember which game it was? hmmm *mental blank*
yeah, I agree he hasnt developed or re-invented himself to become a true great in a position other than# 6. To me, that's a make of a truely great player, someone who masters more than just one position.
Lockyer was a true great at both #1 and #6. Not many others like him.
thats the one! lol good memory! hehe i think it was engrained in my mind because of the shock of seeing it happen lol even as a nonsupporter..my jaw droppedWe had a 2 point lead against Penrith last year with 5 to go. We tried to spread it wide inside our ten, Benji's pass was touched by Tim Grant, who got fingertips to the ball (would've been a great take if he held it). Benji said he did it because he wanted to win by 8.
One of the worst defenders i have ever seen. Watch games,go through the archives.Ive never ever seen any bloke single handidly leak points through missing tackles or not reading the game while defending.
This year the blokes missing 6/7/8 tackles a game, several of those missed produce the ultimate outcome of the game. His lack of defence is costing the Tigers games. Forget his brilliance...at times...in attack,it's his poor defence and reading of plays that makes him mediocre at best.;-)Benjis defence the last few years had been pretty good, don't know what's happened this year though...it's been beyond pathetic
Soward > Marshall.
Walsh>Benji.

This thread was a good attempt to have a backhanded crack at Benji. Bitterness is engrained.
