ThaAnd the stats say Price/O'Meley are #1 & 2 respectively...hard to argue with those stats!...Though i would agree that Rauhihi deserves equal billing with them!...But to say he is THE standout prop...I think is not correct!...There'd be a bee's knob between all 3 of em! ;-)

i agree with your point Re the Dally Ms...but i didnt need Rauhihi winning the Dally M prop of the yr to validate my argument. Maybe standout was too strong a word, but i believe he has been the best prop in 2004. The way he led the Cowboys pack with metres and offloads was something special. Its all subjective re who is the best prop in 2004, but Rauhihi has been my #1 pick...and this coming from a Broncos supporter that has Webcke and Petero

I'm not necessarily disagreeing - well actually I am - I think Price is the best!

Regardless, someone posted some stats a while back - and O'Meley, Price, Rauhihi, Webcke, Civo etc were all very close. It depended on how you rated tackling, metres, offloads, minutes etc as to who you would judge the best...

Ok, you think Price is the best. That would be pretty hard to argue against.

Who would you rank and no 2, 3, and 4 though?

it's tough... on this year

1. Price
2. Webcke (his stats are still awesome)
3= Rauhihi/O'Meley
5. Ryles/Clinton/Civo

At their absolute best I can't really separate Ryles, Bailey, Price and Webcke

With Price being injured and Rauhihi being a kiwi. Would seem logical that your starting front rowers be Webcke/O'Meley. Don't you think?

On this year though i would see it more like this....

1. Price/O'Meley - too hard to seperate these two.
3= Rauhihi - very close to being included in the number 1 spot as well
4. Webcke
5. Civo
6. Ryles/Clinton

Yep I agree - although if Ryles is fully fit, he is awesome.

I though O'meley would be there ahead of Petero - but Bennett's presumably gone for size to counter our big pack - O'meley is very unlucky, he'll terrorise the Poms though

I'd rank Martin Lang up there with them. He is an absolute work horse and goes hard till he cant walk anymore. At an average 158metres per game I wouldnt mind having someone like that. I think he very underated.

O'Meeley is definitely the form prop at the moment but Ryles is probably a better choice against the Kiwis because he is taller and will suck two forwards in at a time when attacking the opposition.

O'Meeley does not have the skills to offload in the tackle and this will make him predictable for the kiwis.

EDIT: I wrote the above then read the team named to play NZ and learnt Mark has been left out of the side...a joke, a f'ing joke...Jason Ryles was in my 23 man team, but to give him the nod ahead of Mark is a f'ing joke after what Mark did in the finals series and for the entire season at all levels unsurping Webcke in the Origin arena...
