Kilkenny, is presently under seige for daring to criticise the Panthers kicking game in season 2006.
The views I expressed, were not just my own by the way, but views shared by many Panthers supporters with whom are part of my network, friends, associaties, fellow season ticket holders etc etc.
Maybe I am wrong, maybe those with whom I network are wrong, but the overiding concern appears to be if you dare to criticise you will be met with disdain by the powers that be!
Leaving aside, the issue of recruitment and retention which is obviously the singlemost issue of concern to Panther supporters, I expressed the view or opinion that our kicking game both in attack and defensive kicks is one of the worst in the NRL.
Maybe I am wrong, but should I have the right to post my opinions on PI, on the basis I do not single out individuals to derogatory criticisms. If my views or opinions don't conform with others, surely that is what forums on PI, League Unlimited are all about and they allow supporters to express there views/opinions freely.
At the end of the day our football team have underachieved again in season 2006 and I say that regardless of whether we make the semi finals or not.
We have a side that should not be on the fringes with four rounds to go. We should be well entrenched in the top 8 already. The fact is we are not. To me as a true supporter, this means there are problems that need to be addressed and or should have been address previously. It just seems to me on PI supporters are not entitled to question certain facets of the performance of team or the overall management of the club.
