Opinion Is Ricky Stuart the most overrated coach ever?

I will pay the 08 Sharks regular season result. I don't death ride him, I couldn't really give a shit one way or another on the rise and fall of Ricky. I would like to see a strong Raiders team again though.

Peoples accomplishments are their accomplishments. If you have to exclude them to serve your point, you probably don't have a very strong point. He is a premiership winning coach, he was the last NSW coach to win a series. You can try and exclude them if you want but they are on his record whether you like it or not. He has achieved a level of success in the game few do. You can try all you like, but you can't take that from him.

No I was actually trying to work out why someone like Ricky has so much fanfare yet someone like say Hagan who's achieved the same doesn't .

Our 19 year old fullback, who is the best 19 year old in the game is already signed elsewhere.
Our halfback is a former gooden who cant run. Our 5/8th is eight games into a switch from centre to 5/8th and our hooker is rubbish

Our front row is over-priced and under performing, Paul Vaughan aside. Papalii, our strike back rower has missed 4 or 5 games already.
We lost Edrick Lee, our only really competent experienced winger to a season long injury, Matt Allwood is an 8 game rookie.

Croker, Fensom, Vaughan are the only players in the sqaud who are really settled in their positions as better than average footballers

what about this scenario says "easily a top 8 team" to you?

Buttriss has been ok to decent this year, im not blaming him at all, just that he isnt a guy that we can win a premiership with. Hooker is the most important position on the field and we're in the bottom 3 in that spot. Easily

TBH I would prefer a first receiver who is a weapon and an ok hooker to

a weapon hooker and an ok first receiver.

I like manly with ballin and DCE
more then say souths
with luke and reynolds

Anyway since you acknowledge that our halves are more of an issue no point me further arguing semantics.

To bring it back on topic, hopefully supercoach can fix up our halves since he was a handy half himself.
