Why? He served his penalty.Flanagan should never get a coach of the year award
Why? He served his penalty.
It's based on the regular season. Flanno took a well rated squad from sixth to third. Ricky took a team most thought would get the spoon from tenth to second. As voted by his mates at the Telegraph. Had a good year but not better than Flanagan who is about to do what no other coach has done at the Sharks.
With a club endorsed doping program like that he should have been rubbed out for life.Wasn't harsh enough IMO.
The peptides had worn off.Wooden spoon
Coach of the year should be whoever wins the grand final.
Sorry I should have said this year.Rubbish. Neil Henry took his team to the top eight, when it was predicted to get the wooden spoon. You can't tell me that he shouldn't be a chance to get coach of the year. I think the problem for Henry though, was his team lost too many must win games at the back end of the season to be considered. While the Titans did make the top eight, they were certainly helped on the back of results going their way.
Shane Flanagan did a good job this year also, but the Sharks probably hampered his chances by their wobble at the end of the regular season. There was also a view that Raiders improvement was greater then the Sharks. Sharks were always tipped to be competitive this year, but the Raiders tipped to barely make the eight.
Well since the award only looks at performance from this season perhaps we should have a look at how Cronulla were tipped to go this year.Sharks did well to come from wooden spooners to the grand final in a couple of years.
I never said he should have been awarded it m8.Well since the award only looks at performance from this season perhaps we should have a look at how Cronulla were tipped to go this year.
