Wooden spoon
To GF
In 2 seasons
Did it with no money and a bunch of discards
15 in a row
Beats the best coaches team in Canberra missing both captains in semi 1
Then beats the reigning premiers to make the GF

Ricky has done well
But Flano has come back from the dead

And wasn't craig bellamy robbed in 2012 when he took the storm from wooden spooners to premiers in 2 years

What an amazing turnaround

Well since the award only looks at performance from this season perhaps we should have a look at how Cronulla were tipped to go this year.

http://www.nrl.com/nrlcoms-2016-ladder-predictions/tabid/10874/newsid/93193/default.aspx

The most interesting thing about that is everyone had the raiders either in the 8 or floating closely out side of it.

Quite the opposite of some fans claiming that the raiders were tipped to win the spoon.

Now if you were talking about the Titans or West Tigers - that might be more accurate.

Finals don't count for Dally M awards. If they did I'd probably agree Scumagan should have got it.

But as has been stated previously, he shouldn't be anywhere near the game.

A Cronulla premiership this year will be forever tainted, winning with a drug cheat coach and a drug cheat captain.

I don't think coaches really care if they win a Dally M coach of the year award and I suggest Ricardo would much prefer to be playing this week than getting an award.

Even his most ardent critics have to acknowledge a couple of things.

Firstly he got a side from close to the bottom to 2nd and played some attractive football.

Secondly he went out of his way to congratulate and wish both Bellyache and Flanagan the best for the grand final, pretty good effort from a prickly merkin like Ricardo.

I would have went Brad Arthur.

I think what he did was great, Parramatta played well, despite all their issues

No way. Parra and anyone involved there don't deserve a thing this year. And what did he really achieve anyway? He got 17 on the park every week and sometimes they had a decent dig.

If Parra recover from the disaster and finish top 4 next year then he's achieved something.

Too lazy to find the original post, but I wholeheartedly take back my initial view of Sticky - Cannot be denied, he's been great for the Raiders.
