Opinion Is Ricky Stuart the most overrated coach ever?

It was blatantly horrendous refereeing and they deserved to be called out. Badger and his mate should be paying the exact same amount as Stuart for bringing the game into disrepute.

The problem with Stuart is that he goes off and has a spray every time things go wrong. It is always the "angry ant" performance from him which over time, people just tune out ignoring what he is saying because of how he says it.

He had this problem at the Roosters when commenting on poor officiating and he hasn't changed.

Haha ok, I'm just going to leave you to it mate. No point trying to have a proper debate with an angry 14 year old.

We aren't having a debate you sook, You are trying to blame the refs for tha raiders being incapable of winnig despite the following facts:

Raiders had more possesion.
Raiders had better field position
Raiders won the penalty count

Now tell me how the refs helped Penrith win the game? Those two terrible penalties for midair tackles on Simmons are not game changers. So please explain what the refs did to "make it easy" for Penrith.

I love how the NRL fine people for saying the truth.

Let's not kid ourselves, the referees decided the result in that match. Both teams were pretty poor and no one deserved to win, but the referees certainly made it a lot easier for Penrith by just completely changing the 'tackled in the air' rule not once, but twice.

It was blatantly horrendous refereeing and they deserved to be called out. Badger and his mate should be paying the exact same amount as Stuart for bringing the game into disrepute.

Mate there were calls both ways that if Penrith lost then they would've been 'dudded' out of a win too

The top teams have calls go against them its just that they're able to get up and keep going and not let it stop them.

Raiders are so down in confidence and all look so disinterested its not funny.

The sooner Stuart cleans that club out and leaves himself the better

He also did it after a World Cup final, which was disgracefully weak.

It can't be good for his players. He thinks it's sticking up for them, I say it's lack of accountability for performance.

My god, your lack of intelligence is concerning.

Read my other posts and you might be able to put together my thoughts. I can't be bothered arguing with a child.

Calling me stupid and a child is the typical internet forum reponse when you have no comeback.

Also though you tune out what he is saying as you think "it's just Ricky blowing up again". So it has a double pronged effect.

Anyone know how much money Ricky a Stuart has racked up in fines as a coach? Must be close to $100k surely.

he only ever coached him in Origin

you don't get into Origin without already having had good form and coaching

Stuart did not make Farah

You do when Michael Ennis is your competition.

Did that include his disgraceful behaviour fine after the RLWC? The guy blames losing on everyone but himself. I feel sorry for raiders players, after what he did at Eels I wouldn't trust the bloke one bit.

I think Ricky suffers from confirmation bias. He only remembers when the calls go against his team, yet doesn't acknowledge the positive decisions that went his way.

How do Ricky Stuart's fines not attract loadings in the same manner as judiciary charges? I'm honestly sick and tired of hearing him complain about refereeing and how it has cost his side victory. It is statistically improbable that he has been wronged by referees more often than any other coach. If he can't confine his comments to an objective analysis of the refereeing decisions, and he can't help himself straying into emotional and irrational comments then he should not comment on refereeing in post match conferences.

It's ugly to watch and it's a bad look for the game. It's frustrating and I'm pretty tired of it.
