Opinion Is Ricky Stuart the most overrated coach ever?

Wow, the refs must have been harsh on NQL. According to Ricky, the only way your team can lose is if the refs have had a shocker. There is no other possible reason.... According to the great man himself. Ricky Stuart.

That's the games greatest thinker, thank you very much.

It'll make my day if he says "Ricky is getting upset!" at any point.

The thing about Ricky is....

While he may be a terrible coach, he is exactly the kind of "larger than life" personality Canberra need to have at the front of their team.

He's an absolute prima donna but since the Raiders get no attention whatsoever, Ricky does stir up a bit of interest. I credit him for pushing Origin that step up back in 2011-12, just because he was always in the news, being a shit-stirrer.

He's never gonna get a teamto be more than average, but at some point Canberra will have a run of luck and he's the best person to have infront of the media when that happens...

Still managed to be a completely unlikeable prick in the post-match media. Well done Sticky.

Absolutely dead-set saved from bottom spot by the vagaries of the draw. And the shithouse Sharks.

That's why I hate Origin - a crap team like the Raiders gets to belt an in-form side like the Cows, simply on Origin representation.

If the Eels get towelled up tonight will Ricky Stuart take the wrap for that since they're doing so well this year supposedly from his good work last year

"Justin is an incredibly talented young man and is a great addition to our squad for 2014," Eels coach Ricky Stuart said in a statement.

"He has served a superb apprenticeship behind some great outside backs like Greg Inglis and Nathan Merritt at Souths, but now he is at point in his career where he wants to take his game to a new level.

"Justin's signature keeps our recruitment plans on track, and I hope Eels members and fans can take confidence from that."

great one Ricky you nuffy

He has a lot to explain, teams have been successfully targeting this ridiculous compressed defensive line for 7 weeks now, to great effect mind you. And yet, each week we see it

What ever the record is for tries conceded to wingers untouched for the season, we are absolutely decimating it.

Stuart is doing a lot of good things off the park for the club, fixing the culture, clearing out some dead wood, bringing in someone like Tedesco, but if he doesnt wake up and get rid of this disgusting defensive structure it wont matter a lick.

I'm on board the "he is f**king shit" train. The ridiculous compressed line, persisting with mcbone over Cornish.

I'd take him in a Gould style director role, but he clearly has no idea how to coach.
