Opinion Is Ricky Stuart the most overrated coach ever?

Raiders fans were absolutely frothing at the mouth over that signing.

It's ok, you still have Billy Tupou.

It's been pretty disappointing and disheartening tbh

at one point last week the good oil was that we'd have Tedesco, Proctor, Ennis and Mansour.

Since Proctor back flipped to stay at the storm it's all gone south. Very depressing.
It's like a game of dominos. This is all conjecture, but I wonder if Proctor doesnt back flip, and we announce him and Tedesco one after another like we had planned, if Mansour even makes it unsigned till this weekend to get a revised offer from Penrith, or whether Ennis makes it another week to get a firm offer from Cronulla to stay in Sydney.

Tedesco fell and we were hoping it'd give us the kick to go 4/4... now it turns out we're going 1/4... which the exact figure i posted i expected us to get before all of the excitement got me thinking 4 blue chippers would actually want to come to this town.

Ugh... the light at the end of the tunnel just got further away.

Guess we can massively front end a few contracts now. Tedesco, pappali etc.

Though they'll prob just re-sign mccrone to a record deal.

To be fair this year I don't think his coaching has been any worse than Supercoach Wayne Bennett.

To be fair Bunniesman...you have the brain of a goldfish.
Comparing the two is akin to comparing Jennifer Hawkins to Susan Boyle

Notice the bit where I said "this year". Insisting on starting Gidley over and over is as derpy as anything Ricky has done recently.

I have to agree with this. The fact that Bennett keeps picking Gids to start over Clydesdale and Chris Houston in the 17 each week is Ricky Stuart-esque.

This Stuart fiasco may seem funny to most people but to blokes like Jason Croker and Jack Wighton it's no laughing matter. Is there a club that wouldn't snap either up, if ever I condoned poaching I'd wish someone would give them the chance they deserve

The great Leon Bott. I remember being there the afternoon the great man scored a hat-trick at WIN Stadium against poor old Colin Worst. I feel honoured to have witnessed such a spectacle.

I have nephews Jarrod and Josh, I'm forever getting them mixed up as well . . . they don't give a shit as long as I love 'em both

Fair enough.

But to answer your question, if either of our centres for some reason hit the open market, they'd be inundated with offers from rival clubs.
Wighton has SOO potential, and Croker is just a genuinely good FGer who will retired with 300+ games to his name if he avoids serious injuries.

Those are guys most clubs would like to get their hands on.

i can see Wighton if leaving ending up at a club like Roosters and Croker targeted by a club like Melbourne

How many games is Croker on now? Pure outside backs dont make 300 games very much..Think its just Et and El Masri atm.

Wighton and Croker would certainly attract offers if they wanted out.

He's on 120 (v broncos) and is only 23. So if he stays fit he could pass the 300 mark quite easily.

What about poor Fensom . He'd Walk into any side like Hindy seems like a real clubman who deserves a ring but more than likely will never see one .
