This is what he does. He makes a big signing for the following season, then gives up on the current season and desperately tries to make a 2nd signing.

Mind you, giving up might work in the Raiders favour?

Stuart rates Cornish, he just doesnt want to rush him the way he has young halves before.
He was on record early in the year saying he wanted Cornish to have a full year in NSW cup, but circumstances have not allowed for that. He's being dragged kicking and screaming to abandon his plans and let the kid play

Besides, it doesnt matter if he didnt rate him, Cornish is good enough to force his hand.
