Opinion Is Ricky Stuart the most overrated coach ever?

Some of his decisions are a joke. The entire spine is about as creative as an episode of neighbours yet he continues with them. Secondly his disgraceful use of the bench is mind boggling. Why is white starting, why is Boyd playing like 5 minutes. Why is Vaughan not starting and not playing prop. Why was shillo, white and Tilse on the field all at the same time....who was playing backrow.

What happened to young Cornish?

He should tell the club either Ricky leaves or I leave.

Like countries and politicians clubs get the coach they deserve. The raiders problems start at board level, they are the people who employed him despite his track record.

What is surprising , is the lack of creativity at the Raiders, they seem to have had that coached out of them .

Monotonous inside balls , for almost a full set inside the opposition 10 , then repeat it when you get 6 again, dear oh dear. Mind numbing in a game they should have won by 10

Not sure what's surprising about any of that. Lack of creativity and monotonous inside balls have been the main feature of RS sides since about 2006.

Yes but despite raiders inconsistency in the past they were still an entertaining team to watch at times. Ricky has coached it out of them in the space of 1 off season! That's the point

It'd be brazen of him to blame the refs. I'm going for "the effort is there" and "we're not far off the pace".

Well said they should've won in those circumstances (tigers injuries) he's spot on there but he basically eluded to raiders are not a first grade standard side (said a first grade standard side would've won that)

Then somehow blamed the refs but said he wasn't (said some calls were terrible and went against them)

Then said the media will write what they want to write and they just ended the presser

Yes I get it mate thanks. It shouldn't come as any surprise to anyone though clearly given his coaching history.

Problem is he is going for a strength GAme, which given the size of the raiders makes sense, but they said tonight the raiders forwards make least metres in NRL?

That is honestly pathetic. Im generally a fan of Kent but this is absurd.

The Tiger had 14 fit players on Saturday Night and had a grand total of 3 penalties. The Tiger got most the dud calls.

So the Raiders won the penalty count, had more fit players, had more ball, yet could not win. Canberra at one stage had about 6 straight sets on the Tigers line.

Disgraceful article from Kent. He should be ashamed of himself. He is quick to burn players and coaches he doesn't like, yet ghost writes a Stuart whinge fest.
