Stuart took some of the credit for Parramatta's resurgence during an interview with the ABC in May. "I'm happy when I see Parramatta winning because I know I did the right thing there and I know I did a good job," Stuart said at the time. "That's not taking anything away or being disrespectful to their coach, Brad Arthur, he's doing a really good job and I compliment him. Ita funny how he uses the rebuilding excuse when everyone knows theres no way in the world he came in a rebuilding role, they wanted results or at least compeditive.

Of course it was a rebuilding role. We lost Dugan, Ferguson and Milford, our chief playmaker is an aging cripple, our second highest paid player has barely seen the field in the last 3 years and we still have to persist with a park football quality hooker. If any club was in need of a reboot it's ours. It doesn't matter who coached us this season, a rebuild was the job.

I think Stuart is a rubbish coach just like everyone else but Eels fans were praying on his demise before he even got a shot at coaching Canberra, almost boasting about it now
