Is that the most one-sided refereeing performance you've seen this year?

The penalty wasn't for a mid-air tackle.

It was for putting Oates into a dangerous position.
Oates puts himself into the dangerous position, Mead is guilty of basically being there? If Oates doesn't jump then this 'dangerous position' doesn't happen.

All Broncos fans are smug merkins It Is Known.

And that was possibly the worst refereeing display I have seen ever, not just this year.

With ruthless precision the MRC and referees have absolutely trashed the first week of the finals. The saddest part is how entirely predictable it was. Disgusting

Same deal. If Mead had no intention of going for the ball then you might have a point, it's simply incidental contact and there's no way you can penalise that.

Mead's intent has no bearing on the call, it's as simple as the contact causing Oates to end up in a dangerous position.

We've seen plenty of contests like this, you seldom see a player end up in Oates' position.

Nah I've been following the Mighty Broncs and the All Mighty Maroons since 98' and I've seen some disgusting ref calls against them this is so over hyped. Parker did nothing wrong it looked he was trying to leave the scrum, if Rjames thought it was intentional he would of got up swinging. How many times have players been kicked, stood on in the play the ball, yes it looked sort of bad but there was f**k all in it. If josh Reyolnds had done this it would of made half the noise (nsw fans I'm looking at you). The Oates/Mead was a screw up. Apart from that there wasn't that much more that went wrong. It's all because it was the BRONCOS who of course have cheated the salary cap ever year, pay the refs off, started the super league and are scum of the earth.

Oates caused that contact by attempting to jump over Mead
Mead is contesting the ball, how Oates ended up in a dangerous position is his own fault

Honestly, out of all the decisions last night this was the most obvious wrong one

How can Mead contest the ball when Oates is 83 meters above him? Lol.
