Yeah i forgot to mention that. The halves had nothing to do with the tries scored....oh actually, Pearce passed the ball to Lewis, who gave an inside pass to Hayne to score....so an assist to a try assist.

To be fair, Pearce did very well to stay the hell out of the way and let the other 15 blokes (Reynolds didnt get a run) win the game...however, I can't help but think with a competent half, NSW would have put a couple more tries on...

If Adam Reynolds maintains anything close to his 2012-13 form next year and doesn't get picked, it will be a travesty. He should have been picked this year.

We haven't been telling you guys this, but Mitchell Pearce is actually an undercover operative for QLD. Either that, or Laurie Daley is a tool.

NSW: Determined to win an Origin series in spite of their halfback, instead of with help from their halfback, since 2008.

Perhaps we are only just now seeing the outcome of the mental scars caused by throwing Daley to the wolves in 1989...

This pisses me off even as a QLDer.

If Daley means it and Piss goes invisible again then his job should be in question too.

If blues lose this year I would suggest Farah go back to club footy and Pearce take over the hooker role. Farah is living on borrowed time

If you get burned one more time I suggest you go back to the abyss and BHP take over the trolling role. Your living on borrowed time.

No way, he should move to the front row, Gallen is playing on borrowed time.

Alternately, he could move to second row/lock/centre/wing as Lewis/Bird/Jennings/Morris are all playing on borrowed time..

Yeah well it's clearly a ploy to take the pressure off Pearce, even though it might do him good to think his spot was under pressure. But with Daley you can't help but think it's the truth.

To now have Pearce as our record holder for the most consecutive games at half, it tells a sad story of our last 5 years. He's played more Origins than Mortimer and as many as Sterling. Seeing Pearce's name up there on the list of NSW halfbacks is as bad as seeing Gidley's name on the list of NSW captains.

daley thought it was april 1 when he said it....

i dont know why daley was even answering the question. he just needed to say "we're focused on tomorrow night" rather than giving pearce a get of jail card before the games even started

I don't think there's much to read into there. He doesn't guarantee that Pearce will be number 7 next year.

Just says that he'll be on the scene for years to come. That could mean anything.........maybe he's running water next season.
