Not saying they were definitely the best, but the 2009 team is grossly underrated. The story is that it was Jarryd Hayne dragging a bunch of Neville Nobodys on his coat tails. But geez there was some talent in that side. Grothe Jnr; Inu, Reddy, Burt and Hayne. Two average halves who played out of their skins for half a year. A good hooker rotation. And a very solid pack of forwards. Feleti Mateo as an X-factor. When Mateo and Inu were on fire, it was just beautiful to watch.
And Moimoi.

Agree. I reckon it could be a master stroke and it may be just the change he needs.
Moses will be out for at least a month and if we think our current halves will maintain our top 4 position we have rocks in our heads. Milford’s long kicking game is what we need.

This proves just how much luck you need to win a comp.

This back injury to Moses has come at a shit time. He will be out for weeks.
according to BA this morning he was nearly right for this week. Its just a pain management thing. He'll rest up, run early next week and hopefully play against the roosters. I'd say at worst the following week vs Rabbits

They really did show a ruthless streak in that run. It wasnt just scoring 40 and conceding 30. There defence compared to the first half of that season was just as remarkable as the attack.

We had a 6 game period where we the total score across the 6 games was 211-44.

27-8 v Dogs
30-0 v sharks
40-8 v Knights
40-4 v warriors
26-18 v Tigers
48-6 v panthers.
The media like to say it was all Jarryd Hayne - but Daniel Anderson deserves a heap of credit for that run - as do all the other players.
