OMG - I actually want to lose now !!!!!

I'm not actually sure, looking at finals predictors and putting through any number of different results and permutations, that this is actually the way it would go.

We should be aiming to win regardless of who we get in the following weeks. We will have to play another final away at some point if we're to progress.

I think this is a cultural thing that Sydney teams and their fans will have to learn to deal with. The year the Swans won the AFL they played three out of their four finals away from home (including the GF) - that was just the way it was. We Sydney league teams are so used to playing finals at 'headquarters' and having the odds stacked slightly in our favour that this 'playing away' thing seems like a big hurdle. It's not. If we're good enough and it's our destiny then we should be able to win anywhere.

And we'll start tomorrow night. :D

The only reason MITS doesn't want to lose is because he's paying sh*tloads to go and watch us win.

Mate, I have been to 4 major travels and one Road Trip to Canberra this year, I am 1 and 4. I would love to get those stats up.

If Parra lose and Souths win (Dogs and Broncos also lose)

Parra play Souths in week 2
and the Dogs and Broncos get eliminated

Should Parra lose on Friday Night, I'm hoping this happens

I hope from now on, Parra wins every game they play in

People are so petrified that they cant do it, and what others will or wont do

Honestly, I think Parra are a great chance of winning

but if they don't then seeing the Dogs go out in the 1st week will be great and then I get to laughh at SBW who still won't play till next year

even better would be Parra winning AND the dogs getting eliminated

The Rabbits and Dogs have a good chance of winning IMO so it isn't a complete waste of time. We have something to play for.

2002

Dragons (7th) beat Knights, Knights had like a 18-6 lead at the break but Johns got injured just before half time, Dragons ended up winning by something like 24-18

Stupid system, anyone it benefits only 3rd, 4th & 5th placed teams in that they can still loose but not be eliminated.

We have been rooted by this system far too many times.

The nrl is a better system than the afl, why would you give a team who limps into 7th or 8th spot a shot at the 5 team. As punishment for only just scraping in to the 8 the last placed team should be made to play the 1st team. It was a close comp this year but other years there will be teams that don't deserve a spot in the semis and who get a shot at a team not far above them, that is rewarding an inconsistant year.

One important reason we need to win that it seems everyone has overlooked, is next week we are gauranteed a game in Sydney and us supporters can be there to get behind our team. Were as if we lose and there is a good chance we have to travel again to Townsville.

Exactly with this new System of teams hosting finals its important to win plus im really worried i think both Souths and Dogs have a realistic chance of winning there matches.
