yeahhhh....well..

it really dosnt help when they play like total merkins though.

just. like why would ya? seriously. the fans showed up. the stage was set. the jersey was empty..all there waiting for a big effort and a home win and then they just go and shit on the rug. the execution was attrocious. the team looked at parts like they didnt know what thef**k they were doing. newcastle werent even good.

really does nothing for the supporterbase a performance like that. FFS...just win a match in 10. they cant even do that. 19 wins in the 3 and a little bit years post greg bird. f**k off. thats horrendous.

take last year. we got thrashed in week 1 but derby day week 2 the team really fired up at home and won.
this year. poo pants performance. so inept and depressing that no one even got mad at the game. just "ah well. same ol shit. whats doing later sarvy?"

it was more entertaining at the end to watch em f**k up.

infact. i was dissapointed we scored that consilation charity try. because we deserved to lose to nil.

I also thought it would have been better not to get the last try....people cheering because a 78th minute try was scored...f**kn what a joke.

Shit performance, drop certain players, change certain players. Put the players in the best position to suit THE TEAM not the individuals...for too long this has been the case and as such, we don't play like a well structured organised side like 80% of the competition does week in week out.

lol

it wasnt even a try IMO.

but they gave it. so we were only 12 point losers. honourable loss?

bet those who took newcastle 13 plus were spewing.

I can handle a game loss. What gets me is the bigger loss of tribalism and jersey respect where in the modern game everything is for sale.

At the end of what was a diabolical and pathetic display by a first grade football team where players should have been embarrassed to have worn the black/white/blue in public....there are blokes from both teams standing around, seemingly already forgotten about the result ('meh its just a game') and having a chin wag and a bit of a laugh/catch up on the field while sharing a gatorade.

Meanwhile the suffering fans mentally beat each other up well into the week and beyond.

Great article.

Replace Chargers with Sharks and it is pretty much the same story.

Except our club is horrendous at making money.

lol yep.

and obviously im a supporter of both.

but yeah the principal applies. and because i got into the NFL later i dont care nearly as much. its annoying that the chargers missed the playoffs again but i dont dwell on it at all.
its better to just watch, get over it and yeah. whatever. just athletes running about. whats for dinner?

Sounds like I gotta get me some titty bar action...I think that's the moral of the story.

This ^^ times plenty.

The bottom line for me as a supporter is this, if we win or lose a tight game with two good teams playing at their best on the day.. Then I head into the club and spend money.

Neither of the two happened as we know, and I went home with 5 minutes to go wondering why I spent any money on these chunts in the first place.

To come from the Sunshine Coast in Qld to watch them and they dish that shyte up.... I'm lost for words.

Bit like us waiting for that special day to do something / get something done - I'm still waiting for my first tattoo.

Feel you on that... every year I would travel down to Brissy to watch a game. Time, petrol, accommodation, missus nagging, tickets, food, etc...but I stopped for the simply fact that each time they traveled to suncorp the team would put on an inept display of football that was embarrassing & shameful.

I dont mind going and seeing a REAL honorable loss, I just cant stomach a who gives a f**k flogging.

a very hollow feeling for me too Cools. I went into the club after the match, but felt along the same lines as you and left after 1 beer.
I wanted to get into the atmosphere befroe the games started, so lined up to get in, get a good seat and watch the NYC. Should of realised what was to come after watching an ordinary display by NYC Sharks. There was no atmosphere then and continued through the whole day. Whatever happened to the good times at shark park?
