JAC to storm

Disappointing although was inevitable.

If Naiqama was to remain in 1sts it has to be only on the wing.

I wouldn't b dropping JAC until we r mathematically out of running for the 8.

Yep. Use him while he is here and we're a chance.

Goes to NSW cup soon as we're out of the running. MCK to centre and and Naiqama to the wing.

Disappointing though do you really blame the kid?

No. He was signed on a one year contract and saw no first grade until it was too late to keep him. It's not the first time players with potential haven't been given a decent run in firsts over established players and subsequently moved on. It's not just wingers like Koroibete, Grant and Tagive, but halves as well, like Martin, Head, Austin, Miller, Lazarus and Drinkwater.

The club seems to have an objection against speed on the wing and mongrel in the forwards. I wonder why that is.

sorry guys but we are on 10 points with a bye in hand. Top 8 cut off is normally 28 or to be safe 30 points and we have 11 more games against;
rabbits
storm
panthers
bulldogs
dragons
eels
cowboys
titans
panthers
warriors
raiders

mathematically yes we can make the finals but realistically we need to win 8 or 9 of these games and in all likely hood we will be done in a fortnight after rabbits and storm.

Exactly. Let's reward the loyalty of MCK now and give him the rest of the season to get some nrl experience

We have 2 byes so that's another 4 points

I'm confident we can beat Souffs this week. Get into the burgers brothers heads and they will make errors, easy beats.

Only other teams we can probably beat are Parra and St George

Not looking good at all tbh. I think we will finish 14th with only Parra and Newcastle being worse

thought we already had 1 bye my bad. in that case we only need to win 7 or 8 games. it isn't the roughest schedule but I just don't see us beating the teams that are already in the top 8 particularly against the forward packs of the Cowboys, Bulldogs, Raiders and Storm.

But remember, this is the West Tigers, the team that lose to the teams that we should beat like a Newcastle. Beat or at least put in a pretty good performance against a top 4 team like the Storm and we are due to beat them next time round.

Souths, well I see that we have the 1 boil over for the season already there.
Bulldogs we can beat because we wont be expected to.

Interesting times ahead

So we have had all off season to evaluate JAC.
Bellamy would have seen him in the 9s, and again when we played them the other week.
You'd think he made enquiries after the 9s, and then ramped things up when he saw the potential in him during the Storm game.
Taylor, like I said, has had 7 or 8 months to keep him and Bellamy took 2 weeks to pinch him. Sigh.
You'd reckon if JAC was played in NRL earlier he may have had some loyalty to repay, or at least a reason to stay.

We've got bigger problems than Rankin on the wing. That right edge defence needs serious work. JAC moving on could be the catalyst to address it. Move Kev or Nofo to JACs wing and bring MCK in.

If what Pascoe says is true and we put in a competitive offer and were outbid - then it sucks, but what can you do? Definitely wouldn't want to be paying overs for rookie wingers.

Don't buy him not being given a fair go either. Broke into the side by round 10 having never played 1st grade, and would have stayed there barring injury or loss of form.

Grant was average at best in State Cup and was constantly getting burny over short distances and laterally

Thought he was very poor tonight actually

I guess it wont matter too much for us now anyway, but he is only young and looks a likely guy who will have a good future in the game. I would like to have kept him TBH.

they seemed to target our left side alot tonight and scored a few tries down his wing (no idea why they didn't target kev/moses). Not really sure that was his fault though, probably brooks more so.

Sure he dropped 2 but His dummy half, kick returns were still really strong though and we will miss that

He was poor tonight but he also showed that he has the ability to be a top quality player. Great kick returns and he always looks dangerous.

I reckon he should be picked up until the end of the year and it would be better for us if we had kept him.

I wonder if we will see the return of Rankin for his goal kicking alone.

If the delusional one can start Farah because it's best for the team does he drop JAC and bring in Rankin because it would be best for the team or does he continue to give JAC 1st grade experience and have Bellemy thank him later.
