Rabbitohs Sponsorship:CONFIRMED
Express Glass will be the principal
sponsor for Rabbitohs centre Jacin
Sinclair, in its continuing commitment
to the resurgence of the South Sydney
Rugby Leagues Club.
“It’s great to be sponsoring an
individual. It puts a face to the dollars
and you know that your support is
helping a key player to reach his
potential,” said an elated Keith Grocott.
“It’s also good to be supporting
a player who, after a blazing start to his
career, has had some ups and downs.
Jacin is, however, completely focused
on success with the Rabbitohs.”
Jacin’s early career form saw him
selected as a travelling reserve in the 1993
NSW State of Origin Team. With Souths
in 2002, he is looking to return to the
top level; his South Sydney player profile
states his current ambition as: “to get some
peace of mind about wasted opportunities
– I’m not going to blow this one”.
The former Balmain, Souths and Easts
player secured his contract after strong
performances in Souths’ roadshow
games, played during their expulsion
from the NRL. Coach Craig Coleman
said in a Sun Herald interview late last
year: “We like a bit of size in our outside
backs and I’d expect Jacin to make one
hell of a mark here at Souths”.
Jacin began to make that mark with
the heralded Charity Shield pre-season
match against St George, which
attracted a pre-season record crowd of
36,804. Playing a solid game, he used his
size to good effect, preventing St George
winger Matt Cooper from scoring early in
the game when Souths lost possession
on their try line.
“The atmosphere at the Charity Shield
match was electric, indicating that the
club and the code are fired up for a
really big year,” said John Coleman,
General Manager, Express Glass.
