If Cogger is out, injured finger and Gamble is still not right then Crossland is the obvious replacement meaning Brailey 9 and Arthur 14

Unlikely to happen IMO. Gamble was one of POS’ first re-signings…Cogger will be gone when his contract ends like most of the contracts from the previous management. We were trying to move him on in the off season.

Knowing us we'll probably get rid of Gamble and keep Cogger as backup
Cogger and Gamble here till end 2026 so if either get extended it will depend on how Brown and Sharpe combine and time for new talent to emerge.
Worst thing about Hastings still with us is not just his payment but he is clogging up Cup in a position that we should be developing someone of potential

The question becomes which young half is sticking around? Brown here till he retires. Sharpe will not be let go. The only way they have a potential pathway is if KP moves on and Sharpey decides he wants to go back to fullback. And the club will move heaven and earth to keep Kalyn. I think O’Sullivan is aware we need to take huge risks as we are literally a bookend club at present. And the price of that could be development in some areas.

Jye Linnane off to the Wahs, probably for exactly this reason.

I expect Cogger and Hastings to be off to ESL next year.

I fear Gamble will retire.

No loss Cogger and Hastings but would like to see Gamble stay at least until his contract runs out end 2026, he is a enthusiastic player and gives us something a bit different.
much as I like him we ain’t winning the comp if he is a regular in top 13.

In Crossland defence, he has trained all pre season at 9. He wouldn’t be across all the systems and shapes the 7 has to organise.

But the fact that he was thrown in there with a weeks notice and did as “good” as a job as Cogger has, just shows how bad Cogger is

He's a better 7 than Crossland. Not saying much, I know.
I'm not sure this is actually true.

Regardless, AOB said Hastings would have been 7 if his wife wasn't in labour. So Crossland is essentially 4th choice and its doubtful we will see him there again.

Crossland is a better player than Cogger. As a halfback it’s neck and neck, both are genuinely shit though.

Forwards lay the platform for the halves to play off.

The Knights have powder puff forwards, certainly don't strike fear into any pack - a reserve grade halfback and a kid playing his first few NRL games don't stand a chance. Add to that a dummy half that is zero threat, with zero running game.

The Mtrs gained by the pack on the weekend is shameful.

I hope that Cogger is still out, that the Crossland to 7 is regarded as a huge failure, that no one playing Cup last week is regarded as a possibility and that Gamble comes back via Cup till fully ready

Liam Sutton showed vision and speed by putting a chip through for himself early in the count yesterday to score a try. Something Cogger or Crossland are incapable of. Not saying he’s the solution but it was a good play.
