This is about Jai Field right? :joy:

I thought he played well in the first half, but kinda disappeared in the 2nd. I’d watch again but it was too painful the first time.

Anyway, no problems in using him for a while while Normon is out... good experience. Maybe he can even push for a position (I like how he has developed in the last 2years)
Most of them played well first half , and it wasn't just Field that dropped off in the second half ....

I'd say our whole team seems to drop away when our forwards are not dominating. The whole power play plan is based on the assumption our forwards would dominate.

So why do our forwards fall away in the second half of a game? The only answer has to be is that they are not mentally or physically fit enough to play 80min. We Latimore there to run 8-10min and then a quick play the ball, it seems the plan is for the likes of Vaughan, Graham, Lawrie and our edge forwards to gain the power metres. Graham is now a 30-40min player, Lawrie appeared to be fatigued, Sims and Frizell were carrying injury, Host, Leilua and Latimore were plodding. So only Vaughan dominating in the second half.

Jai Field, is must, for our pathetic outside backs. Lomax 3,Field4
Pereira2, Ravalawa5,
Dufty1.
Lafai is hopeless.
We should give it a go.
This year is a busy for us .
Give our young lions a taste of the big show, now. Mary, do something positive, with this year.

Cant agree at all re Lafai. Field will struggle defensively and that has been the big improvement with lafai ( and Hunts ) game , his defense. To say he is hopeless makes me wonder what you might be seeing in his game that i don't.He is one of the rare ones in our side that has maintained his form.

Come on Lafai is not a part of the problem. He’s a dangerous ball runner and attracts plenty of defenders as well as have a good offload. Our left side defence has been impeccable. Field for Lafai would be a disaster. Field is a 5/8th and could probably play fullback. He’d also be handy off the bench. But he would struggle one on one against some of the bigger centres. Fingers crossed he has a few more games at 5/8th and continues to excel, which should see him retain a spot in the halves when Norman returns and Hunt is away on rep duty

Luc isn't what I would call an explosive player, but he does have some ball handling skills and a good offload.

In contrast, latimore and host are plodders in both attack and defence.

Last week, when the game was on the line in the last 10 mins, I noticed that McInnes had to give Host a shove as he was lazying his way back into the defence line.

Under a good coach Leilua could be a very damaging ball runner with a good offload. I've said it before, I believe he could be a Beatson type player if coached properly.

I saw that, it looked really bad for Host. Although I thought it was Hunt that gave him a shove.
